Position: Product Marketing Manager

Department: Product Marketing

Required Experience: 3+ years in marketing role

Education: Bachelor's in communications, marketing, or related field

Required Skills: Marketing strategy, copywriting

Desired Skills: Digital advertising, graphic design, video production

 

 

The Product Marketing Manager at Deseret Book is required to fulfill the following job responsibilities:

 

Strategy

  • Take ownership of and lead out on development of product marketing strategies for key books and lifestyle products under the primary Deseret Book brand and various sub-brands. The strategies should lead to measured success in terms of sales while staying on budget
  • Take ownership of and lead out on development of product marketing strategies for key product categories. The strategies should lead to measured success in terms of sales while staying on budget

 

Execution

  • Coordinate with the communications manager on social media and public relations campaigns
  • Coordinate with the retail team to ensure appropriate merchandising and messaging with Deseret Book retail locations
  • Coordinate with the digital team on email campaigns, digital merchandising, and other initiatives
  • Coordinate with the product development team on new product offerings
  • Coordinate appropriate media buys
  • Provide effective copy for use in catalogs and online, radio, social and other advertisements
  • Assist the Product Marketing Director on key initiatives

 

The ideal candidate will have experiencing developing and executing marketing strategies for consumer goods. As both strategic planning and execution are vital to this role, a broad range of experience and skills will be particularly useful. The candidate will be familiar with LDS culture and values, and will bring excitement and energy to a position that requires self-motivation and an ability to work well with people across the enterprise.
