Position: Product Marketing Manager (Music and Film)

Required Experience: 3+ years in marketing role

Education: Bachelor's in communications, marketing, or related field

Required Skills: Marketing strategy, copywriting

Desired Skills: Digital advertising, graphic design, video production

The Product Marketing Manager at Deseret Book is required to fulfill the following job responsibilities:


  • Take ownership of and lead out on development of product marketing strategies for key music and film products under the primary Deseret Book brand and various sub-brands, including Shadow Mountain Records. The strategies should lead to measured success in terms of sales while staying on budget
  • Develop and maintain video strategy for Shadow Mountain Records artists
  • Develop and maintain profitable strategy for streaming music owned by Shadow Mountain Records and Deseret Book
  • Assist the Marketing Director and Product Directors for the music and film divisions in developing future product lineup strategies


  • Coordinate with the communications manager, retail team and digital team on campaigns to ensure company wide implementation.  
  • Coordinate with the product development team on new product offerings
  • Coordinate appropriate media buys
  • Executive Produce video assets to be used in marketing efforts
  • Provide effective copy for use in catalogs and online, radio, social and other advertisements
  • Assist the Product Marketing Director on key initiatives

The ideal candidate will have experiencing developing and executing marketing strategies for consumer goods, music, and/or film. As both strategic planning and execution are vital to this role, a broad range of experience and skills will be particularly useful. The candidate will be familiar with LDS culture and values, and will bring excitement and energy to a position that requires self-motivation and an ability to work well with people across the enterprise.
